Assistant General Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to SFE recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation/cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment
  • Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with SFE and the districts policies and procedures
  • Make employment and termination decisions consistent with General Manager s guidelines for approval or review
  • Fill in where needed to ensure the ultimate customer service experience as well as maintaining efficient operations
  • Continually strive to develop your staff in all areas of managerial and professional development
  • Communicate with district administrators/client to ensure expectations are being met
  • Ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with SFE and district receiving policies and procedures
  • Oversee and ensure that SFE policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis
  • Schedule labor as required by using M. P. L. H. (Meals Per Labor Hour) while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met
  • Ensure that all students, staff and parents feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times
  • Fully understand and comply with all applicable federal, state, county and municipal laws, regulations and rules including those that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements in regards to SFE, district employees, customers and operations
  • Provide advice and suggestions to General Manager as needed
  • Assist GM with monthly manager meetings and trainings
  • Ensure that the Company s operations for which this position is responsible follow sound financial practices, comply with applicable legal requirements and comply with established practices in all regards
  • Responsible for the supervision and evaluation of subordinate employees
  • Responsible and accountable for all aspects of the activities and operations related to the site to which you are assigned and for the duties within the scope of the position s responsibilities
  • Other duties, as assigned

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Ability to speak, read, write and understand English and/or dominate language at the school

Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)

Be physically able to lift, reach, bend and stoop frequently lift up to 50 pounds



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
